Junior Director’s Writing Intensive

Spring 2026 - Rising High School Freshman-Seniors $150

This workshop is a pre-requisite for: Junior Director Program @ Park Village Playhouse

Improvisation! Comedy! Dry Wit! Learn and practice the foundation the backbone of emotive storytelling. Individuals and small groups will explore multiple writing styles for screen and stage. Writers will ideate and develop an original piece and collaborate on a scene for a future original Playhouse production. We will learn and refine writing and formatting techniques and gain confidence and commitment to our thoughts and ideas. We will work through portraying story and emotion on the page to make each beat (and joke) land. Completed and in progress works will be presented and critiqued amongst peers. Participants will host a table read showcase at the end of the workshop.

In conjunction with the Junior Director Program, this is excellent work experience for arts and leadership focused students. Please complete registration application to be considered.
